| Senior Pastor Mike is the founding pastor of Compass Bible Church. Mike and his wife Carlynn grew up in Long Beach, California, attending high school together and then the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Pastor Mike graduated from Moody with a Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology. Mike and Carlynn also attended the University of Arizona with Carlynn receiving her Bachelor's degree in Education. Pastor Mike earned his Master's Degree from Talbot School of Theology and a Doctorate from Westminster Theological Seminary in California. Carlynn and Mike have three children, Matthew, John and Stephanie. |
Pastor Philip De Courcy joined Kindred Community Church in October 2007 after serving as the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Christian School in Toledo, OH. Previously, Philip shepherded Placerita Baptist Church in Newhall, California, and Carr Baptist Church in his native country of Northern Ireland.
Prior to entering the ministry, he worked as an aircraft fitter and also as a Reserve Constable in the N. Ireland Police Service. Upon entering the ministry Philip earned a Diploma in Theology at the Irish Baptist College in Great Britain and later a Master of Divinity degree from Master’s Seminary in California.
Pastor De Courcy is a frequent preacher at various Bible conferences and colleges, as well as training seminars throughout the country and further a field.
He and his wife, June, who hails from Scotland, have three daughters, Angela, Laura, and Beth. |
